Construction is underway for an expanded CancerCare Manitoba program space at the Russell Health Centre.
The expansion will add another 23-hundred square feet to the health centre’s existing CancerCare Manitoba chemotherapy treatment space.
This includes the replacement of the existing nursing station and medication storage area, the creation of a dedicated patient washroom, nourishment area and a small waiting area, improved patient privacy, and space for future expansion of treatment areas.
The total cost of the project is estimated at 2.5-million dollars, with the Manitoba government covering 700-thousand dollars.
