Premier Scott Moe reacted to this week’s Alberta election.
He says despite it not having a direct impact on Saskatchewan, in his eyes it was a good outcome with the SaskParty having several points of alignment with the United Conservative Party.
Moe congratulated Danielle Smith on her party’s victory and looks forward to advocate for both the prairie provinces’ needs.
Moe also had a few words about Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit, who announced he will not seek re-election in the upcoming provincial election.
He called Ottenbreit a tireless advocate for the community of Yorkton and thanked him for his efforts and his friendship.
SaskParty nominations are now open in some areas, with the next provincial election scheduled for October of 2024.
