A man convicted in connection with an armed robbery on the Muscowpetung First Nation in 2019, appeared again in Regina Court of King’s Bench on Friday (June 2).
In March of 2019, 29-year-old Jarrett Poitras was arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a business on the Muscopwetung First Nation, and he faced several charges including Robbery with a Firearm.
He was found guilty of several charges, including Robbery with a Firearm, on June 17, 2021, but the judge issued a warrant the next day, when Poitras failed to appear for sentencing.
He was taken into custody again in February, and will make another appearance in Regina King’s Bench on June 27th for a sentencing hearing, when the Defense will make its submissions, after the Crown made its submissions on Friday.
