Melville’s Severson traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL)

After spending 9 seasons as a member of the New Jersey Devils, Melville’s Damon Severson has a new home in the NHL.

Severson was dealt by the Devils today (Fri) to the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for a 2023 3rd round pick.

The deal was consummated after Severson signed an eight-year, $50 million contract through the 2030-31 season with New Jersey.

Severson has played in 647 career games with Devils, compiling 58 goals, 205 assists for 263 points.

He was drafted in the 2nd round by New Jersey in the 2012 NHL draft.
