Manitoba RCMP confirm remains found in San Clara are those of a missing Valley River F.N. woman

A tragic end to the search for a Valley River First Nation woman, who Roblin RCMP believed was murdered.

New information about the disappearance of Melinda Lynxleg led Mounties to an abandoned residence in San Clara, where excavation work began on Monday (June 5).

Police confirmed this (FRI) morning that remains located at the site were those of Melinda Lynxleg, who was reported missing in April of 2020, when she was 41 years old.

Manitoba RCMP will provide an update on the investigation this afternoon, in Winnipeg.
