The Yorkton Tribal Council held a celebration for National Indigenous Peoples Day at the office on King Street.
Chief Isobel O’Soup was excited to see so many people at the event, including several of the schools, noting it’s important to use the opportunity to teach youth about Indigenous culture.
Chief O’Soup believes roughly one-thousand people attended the event, which had traditional teachings and dances, activities for the kids and a barbecue.
