Sentencing has been handed down to one of two women from the Ebb and Flow First Nation, arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop in the R.M. of Alonsa.
In Dauphin Court, 28-year-old Denee Baptiste pleaded guilty to Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and receved a conditional sentence of two years less a day.
Her co-accused, 36-year-old Holly Baptiste, had her matters adjourned to July 7th.
In February of 2022, Mounties used a spike belt to stop a vehicle near Bacon Ridge, and a search turned up 52 grams of crystal meth, six grams of cocaine, over one-thousand dollars in cash, and drug paraphernalia.
