Guilty plea in connection with accident on job site near Kisbey

Horizon Drilling has admitted to a violation of Saskatchewan’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, in connection with a 2019 incident near Kisbey.

On June 14th, the company pled guilty to one count in Carlyle Provincial Court, while a second charge against them was withdrawn.

Horizon Drilling received a fine and surcharge totalling $150,000.

The charge is related to an incident in July of 2019, when a worker on a jobsite near Kisbey was seriously hurt, while trying to diagnose a problem with a hydraulic line that was leaking hydraulic oil.
