A man wanted in connection to a fatal hit and run on the George Gordon First Nation has been found.

Police confirm that 33-year-old Mervin Poorman of the Kawacatoose First Nation was arrested at a residence in Cold Lake, Alberta last night.

On Thursday evening, Punnichy RCMP responded to a fatal hit and run on the George Gordon First Nation.

The investigation determined that a pick-up truck struck a one-year-old boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
