A new court date has been set for a man charged following a traffic stop on the Trans-Canada Highway near Indian Head, that led to a drug seizure.
At about 12:15 p.m. last Thursday (July 29), RCMP, with the assistance of Yorkton Combined Traffic Services, were conducting proactive patrols, when they noticed a vehicle with illegal tint, and pulled it over.
Upon further observation during the stop, Mounties searched the vehicle, recovering approximately ten kilograms of opium poppy seed.
26-year-old Jagraj Singh, of Brampton, Ontario, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and he made his first appearance Friday (June 30) in Regina, where he was released from custody, to appear in Indian Head Court on August 15th.
