A first court appearance has been made by a Wynyard man, charged following a firearm incident in the town.

In Punnichy Court, 46-year-old Justin Gillis had his matters adjourned to July 27th in Wynyard.

On July 13th, RCMP were called to a local bar, after a man was reportedly in possession of a firearm and threatening people.

The suspect gave himself up without incident, and the firearm was determined to be a revolver replica with pellets in the chamber.
