A Birch River woman arrested following an incident in Swan River early Monday (July 17) morning, has made her first court appearance.
36-year-old Jamie Audy remains in custody, facing a total of 14 charges, including Mischief and three counts of Theft, and she’ll be back in Swan River Court on August 2nd.
At about 12 a.m. Monday, Swan River RCMP were called out to a report of a possible impaired driver at a business on Main Street, involving a woman in a new, dark-coloured truck heading south.
Police located the vehicle on Second Street South, and when they tried to stop it, the vehicle sped away, and was later found abandoned, with heavy damage.
Just after 2 a.m., Mounties were called to the same Main Street business, on a report that the same woman had returned, but in a new white truck, and the woman fled the scene.
RCMP say the business had been broken into with extensive damage done to it and several vehicles, including the two vehicles involved, which were found to have been stolen.
