Another court appearance for youth charged in February death in Esterhazy/Stockholm area

A new court date has been set for a north central Manitoba boy, charged with First Degree Murder.

On February 10th, RCMP were called to a home in the Esterhazy/ Stockholm area, where three males allegedly broke in and stole firearms, a significant amount of ammunition, and the home owner’s vehicle, which was later found burned a short distance away.

Upon arrival, Mounties found a 34-year-old man shot dead, and a woman had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment.

The 17-year-old, whose name can’t be released due to his age, appeared in court again today (WED), where he was remanded in custody for his next court date in Yorkton on September 15th.
