A new court date has been set for a Regina man, arrested in connection with a standoff in Yorkton.

On Tuesday morning, Mounties responded to a report of a man wielding a firearm in a home on Maple Avenue.

When he refused to come out, police set up a perimeter around the home, and eventually, they were able to execute a search warrant, and arrested him without incident.

36-year-old Aaron Meekis was in Yorkton Court today (THURS), where he was remanded in custody to August 11th.
