Man charged with murder in June 2021 death of Indian Head Mountie returns to court

A new court date has been set for one of two Winnipeg residents, arrested in connection with the death of an Indian Head Mountie.

43-year-old Alphonse Traverse is going to trial next March on a First Degree Murder Charge, and he is in custody, with his next pretrial appearance in Regina Court of King’s Bench set for September 27th.

His co-accused, 44-year-old Marlene Pagee, remains in custody charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder, with her next court date set for August 22nd, in Regina Provincial Court.

On June 12th, 2021 in Wolseley, Constable Shelby Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen from Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over.
