Hamilton, ON men back in court on illegal tobacco charges

A new court date has been set for two Hamilton, Ontario residents, charged after a signifcant seizure of unstamped tobacco products were recovered during a traffic stop.

On November 10th, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers pulled over a semi-trailer on the Trans-Canada Highway, east of Indian Head.

Inside, officers found 18 pallets, each containing 30 boxes of unstamped tobacco, for an approximate total of 5.4 million cigarettes and over 13-hundred kilograms of shisha tobacco.

34-year-old Sargon Jahn and 35-year-old Berj Antraneek made another court appearance in Indian Head yesterday (TUES), on a number of charges, and they will return to court on September 19th.
