A Birch River woman remains in custody, facing numerous charges related to an incident last month in Swan River

A Birch River woman facing 14 charges following an incident last month in Swan River, made another court appearance there yesterday (WED).

36-year-old Jamie Audy remains in custody, facing 14 charges, including two counts each of Theft of Truck and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and her next court date is set for September 6th.

Around 12 a.m. Monday, Mounties were called out to a report of a possible impaired driver at a business on Main Street, involving a woman in a new, dark-coloured truck heading south.

Police located the vehicle on Second Street South, and when they tried to stop it, the vehicle sped away, and was later found abandoned, with heavy damage.

Just after 2 a.m., police were called to the same Main Street business, on a report that the same woman had returned, but in a new white truck, and the woman fled the scene.

Mounties say the business had been broken into with extensive damage done to it and several vehicles, including the two vehicles involved, which were found to have been stolen.
