Notes from Saskatchewan Weekly Crop Report, for Aug. 10, 2023

Harvest operations in Saskatchewan are gaining momentum.
Saskatchewan Agriculture’s McKenzie Hladun says growers on the western side of the province are leading the charge, with harvest so far being mainly with fall seeded crops along with peas and lentils.
Province-wide, harvest is now 4% complete, ahead of the five-year and 10-year averages of two per cent.
Rainshowers moved through the province this past week.
Hladun says it wasn’t enough to move the needle on soil moisture levels
