Premier Scott Moe says the government plans to address concerns around affordability.
He says the province is looking at how it could help people struggling with housing costs.
The Opposition NDP says it plans to continue to focus on cost-of-living issues and the province’s struggling health-care system.
Saskatchewan’s hospitals remain short-staffed and some have had to temporarily close in rural areas.
The province is expected to have an election next year.
This is the official opening of this session of the legislature. It was recalled two weeks ago for an emergency session to pass the provincial government’s gender and pronoun policy for schools.
