A Waldron business has been fined a total of 46-thousand dollars, after pleading guilty to a violation under the province’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
On December 18th, in Melville Provincial Court, Agrow Canada Limited admitted to failing to make sure that a required safeguard remained in place at all times, resulting in the serious injury of a worker.
The charge came after an incident on September 30, 2021, near Waldron, in which a worker was seriously injured, after stepping onto an energized auger.
The company was fined almost 33-thousand dollars, while the additional surcharge was just over 13-thousand dollars.
