Wadena RCMP investigating several local Break-and-Enters

Wadena RCMP are investgating a total of nine break and enters in the area last month.

On December 15th, Mounties were made aware of break-ins at Wadena’s curling rink and food bank, along with a local funeral home.

On the 18th, break-ins were reported at a Wadena business and the Foam Lake Senior Centre, with no items stolen, while on the 20th, an unknown amount of liquor was taken from the Quill Lake Curling Rink, and a home in the R.M. of Foam Lake was the scene of a break in on the 27th.

Meanwhile, on the 28th, a home on North Shore Fishing Lake was broken into, with a side-by-side and ice fishing gear taken., while a second home on the community was entered the same day, with two vehicles and the keys for a quad stolen there.

Police believe the incidents are related, and remind the public to make sure homes, vehicles and outbuildings are locked, and ask anyone with tips to call the Wadena RCMP, at 306-3386500, or Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
