Accused in November drug bust in Dauphin back in court

A new court date has been set for two people charged after a traffic stop in Dauphin in November, that led to the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash.

Around 1:15 a.m. on November 28th, Dauphin RCMP stopped a vehicle with five people inside, on First Avenue Southeast, and upon approaching the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was spotted in the open, and once the occupants were arrested, the officer searched the vehicle, finding quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as prescription drugs, cash, and weapons.

When the suspects were being placed into the cells, a 36-year-old woman was found to be hiding two small baggies of cocaine in her mouth.

Three of the five were released without charges, but 42-year-old Sean Bouchie remains in custody, while 36-year-old Chantelle Ferland was released, with both facing a number of charges, and they will both return to Dauphin Court on January 23rd.
