A man is in custody in connection to a stolen vehicle.

Ste Rose RCMP was called this past Friday evening about a suspicious black vehicle in the ditch off Road 130 N, west of Highway 278, near Reed Creek.

When they arrived, the vehicle was gone. Shortly after, Mounties located the truck in a nearby ditch and saw a male running on foot.

After a brief chase, 30-year-old Richard Ross was arrested without incident; he had two outstanding warrants.

The vehicle was confirmed stolen, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded shotgun, a small quantity of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

Ross was hit with a slew of charges, including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Weapon with Ammo without a license.
