Hey everyone, I wanted to share with you all a little something I realized recently. It’s amazing how many everyday items we use once and then throw away without even thinking about it. But what if I told you that there are so many things you can actually reuse and save yourself some money and help the environment at the same time?
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve reused things that we don’t always realize are reusable. For example, instead of tossing out plastic cutlery after just one use, I wash them and reuse them multiple times. Not only does this save money, but it also reduces the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills.
Another thing I’ve started doing is washing and reusing those little plastic cups that applesauce comes in. I use them as little bowls to hold used tea bags or to hold sprinkles while I’m decorating cookies. They really can be used for anything! It’s such a simple way to give these little cups a second life rather than just throwing them away after one use.
And don’t even get me started on plastic grocery bags. Instead of letting them pile up in a corner of my kitchen, I reuse them as bathroom garbage bags. They’re the perfect size for small trash cans and it’s a great way to make sure they get used again before they end up in the trash.
So, I challenge you all to start thinking about the things you use once and then toss away without a second thought.
