Charge Laid In Connection With Fatal Single Vehicle Rollover Near Duck Bay

Winnipegosis RCMP have made an arrest in connection with a fatal single vehicle rollover near Duck Bay.

Mounties say the tragedy occurred last April, when a truck travelling northbound on Highway 272, left the road and collided with a row of trees, and it rolled.

A five year-old boy, who was not properly restrained, was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

38-year-old Katlin Lamirande of the Pine Creek First Nation, has been charged with Careless Driving Causing Death, and will appear in Camperville Court on March 28th.
