In the early hours of March 1, 2024, Pukatawagan RCMP responded to a shooting incident on Crow Rock Drive, Manitoba. Reports indicated a 16-year-old male had sustained a shotgun wound. Further investigation revealed that Jerome Bighetty, 17, allegedly fired shots at the victim along with Bowden Nicholas, 22, before fleeing the scene.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was swiftly transported to the Nursing Station and later transferred to a Winnipeg hospital. Thankfully, his condition is now deemed stable.
Later that morning, another incident was reported to authorities: a 19-year-old female was assaulted, with Bighetty identified as the assailant.
Then, in the evening, a robbery occurred at a business on Amisk Drive, where a 12-year-old was threatened with a firearm and had his snowmobile stolen by a suspect believed to be Bighetty.
Despite extensive search efforts, both Bighetty and Nicholas remain at large. Authorities have issued warrants for their arrest on various charges, including firearm-related offenses and assault.


Jerome Bighetty is described as 5’6” tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Bowden Nicholas is described as 5’4” tall, 119 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Residents are urged to contact Pukatawagan RCMP or Crime Stoppers with any information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in apprehending individuals considered dangerous to public safety.
