Swan River man pleads guilty in connection with Nov. 22nd incident in The Pas

Guilty pleas have been entered by a Swan River man arrested in The Pas on numerous charges, including Assaulting a Peace Officer.

24-year-old Allan Knight appeared in The Pas February 29th, and admitted to Assaulting a Peace Officer, Impaired Driving, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, while two other charges were stayed by the Crown Prosecutor.

Knight was sentenced to time served, and given a one-thousand-dollar fine, and a one-year driving ban.

In the late evening hours of November 22nd, RCMP received a report of a stolen truck in the town.

Thanks to a GPS unit inside the vehicle, police were able to track it down, and arrest the driver, but when the suspect was being placed in cells, he allegedly assaulted a Mountie.
