Sandy Bay Ojibway F.N. woman charged in June 2023 murder has new court date

A Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation woman remains in custody, charged with Second Degree Murder, in connection with a death on the reserve in June.

The Manitoba First Nation Police Service were called to a home on the reserve on June 29 of last year, to a report of an injured female, and upon arrival, they found the body of a 24-year-old woman.

Police are not releasing the victim’s name.

26-year-old Fantasia Prince will appear again in April 15, in Portage la Prairie.
