New Court Date for Fishing Lake First Nation Man Accused of First Degree Murder

One of two people arrested in connection with the death of a man from The Key First Nation, has made his first court appearance.

35-year-old Jeffrey Kayseas of the Fishing Lake First Nation was in Regina on Thursday, where he was remanded in custody to this Friday.

He’s charged with First Degree Murder in the 2022 death of 51-year-old Cory Papequash.

His co-accused, 32-year-old Natashia Keshane of The Key First Nation, is scheduled to appear in Yorkton Court today (Mon).
