New court date for Cowessess F.N. man charged with Dangerous Driving

One of two people charged in connection with an alleged case of dangerous driving in Regina last month, has made another appearance in Regina Provincial Court.

24-year-old Matthew Lerat-Polson of the Cowessess First Nation will return to court tomorrow, along with his co-accused, 38-year-old Jeffrey Edward Canada of Regina, with both men in custody on charges including Dangerous Driving and Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited

On March 22, Regina Police say a vehicle blew through a red light at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Albert Street, and nearly hit a police vehicle.

The RPS Aerial Support Unit tracked the vehicle to a home on the 700-block of Albert Street, where the two men in the vehicle entered the residence, and shortly after, police entered the home, arresting the pair for dangerous driving, and a search of their vehicle turned up ammunition, a violation of conditions.
