There’s something so comforting about starting my day with a big mug of hot tea. The ritual of brewing the perfect cup, adding a splash of milk, and taking that first sip is pure bliss. It sets the tone for a peaceful and relaxing morning before the chaos of the day sets in. I’ve actually become quite dependent on my mug of tea, but only one kind, Earl Grey. I really don’t enjoy any other kind. Coffee comes later in the day.
I used to be very particular about my tea steeping time, insisting on only 4 minutes to achieve the perfect balance of flavor. But since becoming a mom, I often find myself getting distracted and letting my tea steep for much longer. Sometimes it’s 7 minutes, sometimes even longer, but it still tastes just as delicious. I have so many mugs too. But I’m always on the look out for new ones. And my tea mug needs to be a BIG one! Like an 18 oz. I have specific mugs that I use for tea and then specific ones for my coffee.
When I go traveling I take my tea bags, and my bug. It’s just not the same without them. I know, I’m very specific when it comes to my morning tea. But I know I’m not the only one out there like this. So, here’s to all the tea lovers who understand the joy of a cozy mug of tea and the satisfaction of finding the perfect mug to drink it from.
