The Water Security Agency is issuing a high flows advisory for the area around Yorkton.
The warmer-than-usual temperatures for this time of year have led to snow melting at a rapid pace, leading to a quicker runoff.
The WSA warns that flows can change and that people should be cautious along rivers and lakes during the spring melt.
They state that no communities are at risk of flooding; however, some localized flooding occurs on agricultural lands.
