Men charged following death of Oxbow woman make first court appearances

Two men charged following the discovery of a body in the R.M. of Moose Mountain last week have made their first court appearances.

Last Wednesday, Carlyle RCMP were notified of a potential homicide, that led to an investigation at the Oxbow landfill.

No remains were found there, but the next day, the body of 28-year-old Brianna Hayes, of Oxbow,was found at a rural location in the R.M. of Moose Mountain.

24-year-old Taylor Japp, of Oxbow, appeared in Regina Provincial Court yesterday, charged with Second Degree Murder, and he was remanded in custody, to appear in Carlyle tomorrow.

27-year-old Tyler Shaw, of Gainsborough, appeared in Regina on Friday, charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder, and he remains in custody, to appear in Estevan on May 9.
