Two 16-year-old boys – one from Dauphin and one from Brandon – are in custody following an incident in Dauphin, involving an imitation firearm.
Dauphin RCMP were called to a Dunfield Avenue home shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, on a report of a disturbance and assault.
When Mounties arrived, two male suspects ran from the scene, with one stopping when instructed to do so by police, while the other was arrested after a brief foot chase, during which the suspect allegedly pointed what appeared to be a firearm at officers.
It turned out to be an airsoft gun.
A 17-year-old boy at the residence declined medical attention, after being found with injuries consistent with having been shot by an airsoft gun.
