Legacy Co-op Partners With Yorkton Lions Club for Christmas Light Project

A Christmas Lights project is coming to Yorkton.

Today, Legacy Co-op announced a 150,000 dollar partnership with The Yorkton Lions Club.

The drive-thru light show will feature 20 light displays and 30 lit trees, transforming the Yorkton Campground into a winter wonderland.

Legacy Co-op General Manager Harley McClughan expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.

“We are proud to support this endeavour that brings the community together and attracts people to Yorkton. We look forward to seeing everyone there and making lifelong memories,” said McClughan.

President of Yorkton Lions Denny Vachon says they are grateful for this collaboration.

This generous contribution from Legacy Co-op allows us to offer something truly special to the people of Yorkton and surrounding areas. It’s more than just a light show; it’s an experience we know families will make a tradition for years to come,” said Vachon.

More details, including a naming contest, will be announced at a later date.

The project is scheduled to start in December 2024.
