A new development in the case of a north central Manitoba man, charged with a First Degree Murder in the Esterhazy-Stockholm area.

The 18-year-old, whose name can’t be released because he was underage at the time of the offence, has been committed to stand trial in Yorkton Court of King’s Bench at a later date.

In February of last year, Mounties were called to a home,where three males allegedly broke in and stole firearms, a significant amount of ammunition, and the owner’s vehicle, which was later found burned a short distance away.

Police say a 34-year-old man was shot dead, and a woman had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment.
