A new court date has been set for a Dauphin man, charged in connection with an assault in the city.

On the evening of January 3, Mounties were called to an apartment building, on a report of two men fighting in a hallway.

Police say one man became aggressive when being arrested, and while being placed into cells, the suspect allegedly assaulted and spit on officers.

30-year-old Shayne Lavallee will be back in Dauphin Court July 9.
