Hey everyone! I just had to share my absolute favourite morning ritual with you, sitting down on the couch with a delicious breakfast and diving into a TV show. This has been my routine for about two years now, and let me tell you, it’s one of the main reasons I actually look forward to getting out of bed!
I’ve had the best time going through shows I missed the first time around. From the drama-filled Grey’s Anatomy and the hilarious Brooklyn Nine-Nine to the heartwarming Ted Lasso, my mornings have been anything but boring. But the latest show that completely stole my heart? Modern Family.
I know I’m super late to the party, but binge-watching Modern Family has been such a joy. I missed it when it first came out, so getting to watch all 11 seasons back-to-back was like discovering hidden treasure. The Dunphy/Pritchett family might just be regular folks, but oh boy, do they make everyday life entertaining! You’ve got Claire Dunphy, her goofy but lovable husband Phil, and their three kids—Haley, Alex, and Luke. Then there’s Claire’s brother Mitchell Pritchett and his fabulous husband Cam, plus their adorable daughter Lily. And let’s not forget the family patriarch, Jay Pritchett, his stunning wife Gloria, and her son Manny.
What’s amazing about Modern Family is how it really is an ensemble cast. There’s no single main character. Instead, everyone gets their moment to shine. The way the characters interact and play off each other is pure genius. Whether they’re all crammed into one house for a crazy family gathering or navigating their own dramas, there’s never a dull moment. And the show isn’t just about laughs, though. There are plenty of tearjerker moments too. This family may be flawed, but their love and support for one another are heartwarming.
Now that I’ve wrapped up Modern Family, I’m a bit at a loss. Seriously, how am I supposed to find a show that’s just as good? For now, my mornings feel like they’re missing a piece without the Dunphy/Pritchett clan. But who knows? Maybe I’ll find another gem soon enough.
