
Oh wow! I’m in LeRoy this week and I just got to try the yummiest dessert! What a way to start off the week. I mean they always feed us so well in LeRoy, but DAMN! I love this! And look at the adorable mason jar it’s in!
I have something to admit though. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried this recipe made by this same lady.
So, here’s a little gem from my day that’ll definitely make it into my next edition of “Oops, I Did It Again!” Picture this: I confidently approach one of the volunteers here, eagerly asking for her amazing recipe for her cheesecake. (We’re talking culinary gold here, folks!)
She, with a knowing smile, reminded me that not only had I asked her for it *last year*, but I also declared that it was “going straight into my cookbook!” Who knew my memory had the same shelf life as that forgotten kale in the back of the fridge? ♂️
Moral of the story? Always write down those recipes AND your promises… or just embrace the déjà vu! And this recipe from Darlene Bendil from LeRoy will most definitely be in the 2025 GX94 Christmas Goodies Cookbook!
