Hey, movie and music lovers! The Golden Globes have kickstarted this year’s award season, and while the world talks about who wore it best on the red carpet, who won, and who said “it was just an honour to be nominated”, I can’t help but feel a little bit of nostalgia.
Growing up, award season was a family tradition! We’d gather at someone’s house, all cozy in our PJs, surrounded by lots and lots of junk food. It was a night filled with cheers, laughter, and the occasional boo when our favourites didn’t win. I’ll never forget the year my aunt painstakingly recreated the entire Wolfgang Puck menu from the Oscars. Though, since I was a picky 7-year-old at the time, I mostly ate the chocolate ice cream with raspberries!
With the Grammys (Feb 2nd), the Oscars (Mar 2nd), and the ever prestigious Kids’ Choice Awards coming up, why not start your own tradition?
