The City of Yorkton is set to welcome a new fire engine after city council unanimously awarded a tender to Rocky Mountain Phoenix during Monday night’s meeting.
The winning bid came in at just under $950,000, with funding drawn from the Yorkton Fire Prevention Reserve. Fire Chief Trevor Morrisey expressed satisfaction with the deal, highlighting the truck’s unique capabilities and its value to the community.
The new fire engine is expected to arrive this summer.
