Sentencing Date Set For Woman Who Admitted to Pine Creek First Nation Death

A woman who admitted to a death on the Pine Creek First Nation, has appeared in court again.

In June of 2022, Winnipegosis RCMP were called to a report of a stabbing at Pine Creek.

They found an injured 51-year-old man, who was taken to hospital, but died from his wounds.

42-year-old Sheryl Thompson pleaded guilty to Manslaughter last August, and is now scheduled to be sentenced in Dauphin Court on March 19.
