Winnipeg man charged in auto thefts in Moosomin and Rocanville areas back in court

A Winnipeg man charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation around the Moosomin and Rocanville areas has a new court date.

The matters for 35-year-old David Penner will be back up in Winnipeg Provincial Court on February 13.

On August 21, Mounties were alerted that a stolen truck from Manitoba was headed towards the area, and was later spotted on Highway 8.

The driver fled, resulting in the theft of a truck from Rocanville, that was found later that day in Moosomin, when police were unsuccessful in pulling it over.

Penner was arrested in Manitoba on August 22.
