The Saskatchewan Roughriders have bolstered their roster with two signings, adding veteran offensive lineman Philippe Gagnon and American quarterback Tommy Stevens.
Gagnon, an eight-year CFL veteran, joins after seven seasons with the Montreal Alouettes and one with the Ottawa REDBLACKS. The Quebec native played 17 games at right guard last season, helping Montreal secure first place and reach the Eastern Final.
Stevens arrives after three seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, excelling as a short-yardage specialist with 685 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns over the three year span. In 2024, he successfully converted 30 of 31 third-and-short attempts. A former seventh-round NFL Draft pick, Stevens previously spent time with the Saints, Panthers, and Giants before transitioning to the CFL.
