Yorkton residents will see a $1 monthly reduction in their recycling levy on their water and utility bills starting April 1.
However, for low-density residential single-family homes, the overall proposed increase will be $2 per month, bringing the total to $21 per month. This includes a $3 increase for refuse and organics collection, offset by the $1 reduction in the recycling levy.
Both the recycling levy decrease and the overall rate increase were unanimously approved by Council at last night’s meeting.
