Pet Valu Expands in Yorkton with New, Larger Location

Today, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new Pet Valu location in the City of Yorkton.

The new store is double the size of the previous location, which, ironically, is right next door on Broadway Street East.

The expanded space features a pet wash station, an adoption center, grooming services, and small animals like hamsters and guinea pigs available in-store.

Store owner Sarah Kowalchuk highlighted the importance of the expansion.

“We wanted to expand our product offerings. Our previous store was very small, and we couldn’t offer much variety,” said Kowalchuk.

“This new location gives us the space to host more events, offer a wider range of products, and have a dedicated adoption room available at all times. Any rescue organization can use the space whenever needed to host their animals,” she added.

With the larger space and expanded services, Pet Valu is set to become a key destination for pet owners in Yorkton. Whether customers are looking for specialty products, grooming services, or an opportunity to adopt a pet in need, the new location offers something for everyone. Kowalchuk and her team are excited to welcome the community and continue supporting local pet rescues.
