Winnipeg man charged in vehicle thefts in Moosomin and Rocanville areas returns to court

A new court date has been set for a Winnipeg man charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation around the Moosomin and Rocanville areas.

On August 21, Mounties were alerted that a stolen truck from Manitoba was headed towards the area, and was later spotted on Highway 8.

The driver fled, resulting in the theft of a truck from Rocanville, that was found later that day in Moosomin, when police were unsuccessful in pulling it over.

35-year-old David Penner was arrested in Manitoba on August 22, and he’ll be back in Winnipeg Provincial Court on February 28.
