Canora Junior Elementary School celebrated Saskatchewan Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week from Feb. 9 to 15 with special gestures from the School Community Council (SCC), Crossroads Credit Union, Canora RCMP, and parents.
The week began with staff enjoying coffee and muffins, courtesy of the SCC. Administrative Assistant Kim Hladun was recognized for 25 years of service with the Good Spirit School Division. Throughout the week, parent and community volunteers provided noon-hour supervision, allowing staff a duty-free lunch break.


On Thursday, Parent Chef Curtis Scheltgen prepared a home-cooked lunch featuring lasagna, salad, and desserts from Crossroads Credit Union. The week concluded with Valentine’s Day treats for staff and students, provided by the SCC.
The celebrations highlighted the appreciation and support for teachers and staff, making for a memorable and heartfelt week.
