Two women charged in connection with an armed robbery in Balcarres have appeared in court again.
On September 23, Mounties were notified of a robbery at a Balcarres business, in which two women allegedly entered the business, assaulted the employee with a golf club, and stole two bottles of liquor, before fleeing the scene, leaving the employee with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers quickly found the suspect vehicle travelling near Balcarres, and it failed to stop for police, before it turned into a field, where Mounties were able to box it in and arrest the suspects, one of whom allegedly threatened a police officer while being taken to the detachment.
19-year-old Serenity Fink of Balcarres and 38-year-old Isabelle Starr of Fort Qu’Appelle had their matters adjourned for a preliminary hearing on August 28 in Fort Qu’Appelle.
