Today, a Key Ceremony was held at 221 Betts Avenue to celebrate the completion of a Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan home for the Yorkton Chapter.
Alexis Chartrand and her family were selected as homeowners in 2024 and completed the required 500 volunteer hours as part of the program.
Chartrand expressed her gratitude and joy for the finished home.
“There are days I sit in silence, unable to believe this is truly ours,” she said. “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, pride, and so many good emotions, knowing I played a role in building it.”
Construction began on May 16, 2024, under the management of Project Manager Paul Weinmaster. The 1,008-square-foot home features four bedrooms and a partially finished basement.

This marks the 14th home built in Yorkton by Habitat for Humanity over the past decade.
